7 Laws of spiritual success

The Universe operates through the dynamic exchange, giving and receiving are different aspects of flow of energy in the Universe.

Deepak Chopra

Everything we do is governed by laws, whether these laws are tacit or explicit, the govern and regulate our daily lives. From setting up alarms, making sure that we catch that early traffic, bus, taxi or not be late. Our consistent adherence of these laws/regulations ( hence regular) determines our success in achieving our end goals.

The universe has laws as well and cannot be directly however, outputs and ramifications of this adherence and non-adherence can be observable. We will discuss the 7 Laws of Spiritual Success that we must consistently apply and adhere to in our daily lives to achieve inner and outer feelings of fulfillment and purpose. Let us outline these laws:

1. Commit to daily spiritual practice.

2. Choose love over fear.

3. Believe in your worth and potential.

4. Make time for self-care and reflection.

5. Connect with nature.

6. Live with intention and purpose.

7. Practice gratitude.

1. Commit to daily spiritual practice.

This requires discipline and devotion towards spiritual practices that become second nature to your existence. These practices can be for example:

  • Make time for self-reflection and contemplation.
  • Follow a regular schedule of prayer or meditation – e.g. 3,6,9 time-slots.
  • Live an ethical life in accordance with your values and beliefs.
  • Spend time in nature and practice mindfulness.
  • Engage in ritual and sacred ceremonies (cleansing bath, steaming, fasting)
  • Read spiritual texts and teachings and/or listen to spiritual songs/tunes/music.
  • Spend time in silence (One of the best practices)
  • Be of service to others.

2. Choose love over fear.

Fear has a habit of eroding the fiber of living and expressing ultimate peace and happiness. Its shadow is worrisome.

Choosing love means making decisions based on trust, respect, and understanding. It means being open to different perspectives and understanding that everyone has different needs and wants. It also means being willing to take risks and be vulnerable to build deeper relationships. Choosing love requires courage and a willingness to put yourself out there. It’s not always easy, but it can be incredibly rewarding. Love has no regrets because it was genuine and requires no support. Love does not expect because it nurtures and gives unconditionally, while fear feeds on trauma, pain, and uncertainty. Try to choose love even if the outcomes of giving it yield disappointment. Know that you gave pure and intentional care and love.

3. Believe in your worth and potential.

To know your worth and potential, you must first know yourself. Believing in your worth and potential is an important aspect of spiritual success. It means having faith in yourself and your abilities and not allowing self-doubt or negative thoughts to hold you back. When you believe in yourself, you are more likely to take risks and pursue your goals, which can lead to greater fulfillment and personal growth. Additionally, having a strong sense of self-worth can help you to better navigate the challenges and obstacles that may arise in your journey. Overall, believing in your worth and potential is crucial for living a fulfilling and meaningful life. You are the 1st person to trust before anyone else.

4. Make time for self-care and reflection.

When last have you done something for yourself? I am not referring to group or couple initiatives. I am talking about YOU. WHEN last did you go out on a solo retreat, solo activity, took care of your mind and body. In case you forgot what self-care means let me refresh your mind:

Self-care refers includes practices and activities that you can do to take care of your physical, emotional and mental well-being. Examples include exercise, healthy eating, getting enough sleep, and engaging in activities that bring you joy and relaxation. Reflecting is the act of taking time to think and process events, emotions, and actions. Reflecting on your experiences can help you to gain insights into yourself and your life, and to identify patterns and areas for growth.

By taking care of yourself and reflecting on your experiences, you can gain a greater understanding of yourself and your needs. This knowledge will help you to set boundaries and make decisions that align with your values and goals, which can lead to a greater sense of inner peace and fulfillment. Additionally, regular self-care and reflection can help to reduce stress and improve overall well-being.

Overall, making time for self-care and reflection is key to maintaining balance, reducing stress and gaining a deeper understanding of oneself which are all crucial for spiritual growth.

5. Connect with nature.

Human beings are carbon beings – we need to continuously connect with the elements of nature. from sunlight to the earth beneath our feet. It is because nature has a unique ability to provide a sense of peace and tranquility and to help us reconnect with the present moment.

There are many ways to connect with nature, such as going for a walk in the woods, spending time by the ocean, being in an open field, or simply sitting in a park and observing the natural world around you. Being in nature can also help to reduce stress and anxiety, boost mood, increase creativity, and improve overall well-being. It can also help to deepen one’s sense of connection to the world and the interconnectedness of all living things. Many spiritual traditions also view nature as a powerful teacher and source of wisdom and practicing mindfulness while in nature can be a powerful way to deepen one’s spiritual practice.

Connecting with nature can be a powerful way to connect with a higher power and gain a deeper understanding of oneself and one’s purpose in life. Overall, connecting with nature can be a powerful tool for physical and spiritual growth.

5. Live with intention and purpose.

This is one the hardest if not piercing laws because the majority of us are in the rat race we often don’t know our purpose and intention to live. We are so caught up in sustaining our lives, paying bills, and retirement savings that we don’t know who we are or at least reflected on the intentional purpose of living.

Having a clear sense of purpose and direction in life can help to give meaning and direction to your actions and decisions, and to help you to stay focused and motivated in the face of challenges and obstacles. Living with intention means being mindful of your thoughts, emotions, and actions and making conscious choices that align with your values and goals. It also means being present and fully engaged in the present moment, rather than dwelling on the past or worrying about the future.

Having a sense of purpose can also help to give you a sense of direction and meaning in life, and to help you to feel like you are making a positive impact in the world. It can also help to increase your sense of fulfillment and satisfaction with life.

7. Practice gratitude.

Gratitude is the practice of being thankful and appreciative of the things we have in our lives, rather than focusing on what is missing or what we lack. It can be a powerful tool for improving well-being, reducing stress and negative emotions, and increasing feelings of contentment and happiness. Practicing gratitude can take many forms, such as keeping a gratitude journal, sharing what you’re thankful for with others, or simply taking a moment each day to reflect on the things you’re grateful for. When you focus on the things you’re thankful for, you can shift your perspective away from negative thoughts and emotions, and towards a more positive and optimistic outlook on life.

Furthermore, practicing gratitude can be a way of connecting to a higher power and recognizing the blessings in one’s life.

Conclusion

Remember to have faith in yourself and your abilities, and not allow self-doubt or negative thoughts to hold you back. Taking care of yourself and reflecting on your experiences can help you to gain insights into yourself and your life, and to identify patterns and areas for growth. Recognizing and connecting to a higher power can help to deepen one’s spiritual practice and foster a sense of humility and connection to the world.

All these laws are interconnected and have a synergistic effect in promoting spiritual growth, well-being, and fulfillment.
